The ratpile. A peculiar name by most’s standards, I would imagine. But one that our system long since decided suits us.
We’re a (by our standards) relatively small system of eight members. We were plural long before we knew the term or what it meant for us. We’ve known of our plurality for just over 10 years now, and in that time our system has grown tremendously. Both in terms of numbers and in the sense of maturity and understanding towards one another.
We as a system strive for compassion and understanding. We may not always get along, we may butt heads or get under one another’s skin, but at the end of the day, we’re a team, and we want to do our best to ensure everyone feels heard, loved, and accepted, no matter their flaws or merits.
It’s not always easy, living life with seven other endless companions, but each and every once of us feels better for having each other in our lives.
I wanted to create this section to give others a small look at our little family, and perhaps, come to understand why we all love each other so.
